(esophagi* OR esophagogastric OR oesophagogastric OR gastro-esophageal OR gastroesophageal OR gastro-oesophageal OR gastrooesophageal OR esophageal OR esophagus OR oesophag* OR reflux OR heartburn OR GER OR GERD OR Barrett*[tiab] OR dyspepsi* )
Depending on the nature of the additional concepts it might be necessary to require the presence of additional terms with the non-pathology-implying esophagus terms as in:
(esophagi* OR oesophagi* OR esophagoscop* OR oesophagoscop* OR ((esophagogastric OR oesophagogastric OR gastro-esophageal OR gastroesophageal OR gastro-oesophageal OR gastrooesophageal OR esophageal OR esophagus OR oesophag*) AND (inflamed OR inflammation OR inflammatory OR irritat* OR erythem* OR erythaem* OR inflitrat* OR ulcer OR ulcers OR ulcerat* OR dyspla* OR hyperplas* OR metaplas*)) OR reflux OR heartburn OR GER OR GERD OR Barrett*[tiab] OR dyspepsi* )
Consider ORing H-2 receptor antagonist terms (and potentially other GI drug terms) with the above esophagitis terms when the presence of both an H-2 receptor antagonist term and your other search concept/s implies the existence of esophagitis or reflux.
